Having lived in Philadelphia for a few years in the late '80s, I came to think of it as a town where people are murdered in the street while the sun is shining and no one gives a damn. Even if no one got killed in the video recently released by the Philadelphia police department, it still goes to show some things haven’t changed much.
In the street camera video, we see a blind man standing near a curb somewhere in Germantown, a neighborhood in the northwest section of Philly. It’s daylight and there are plenty of people going about their business on the sidewalk around him. Then a man approaches the blindo from behind and knocks him into the street before punching, kicking, and robbing him. It’s all very nasty.
