According to the game's official Tumblr, Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition will launch for PS4 and Xbox One in North America on 28th January and in Europe on 31st January.

In addition to the details confirmed at the VGX Awards, Square Enix has detailed all the content present in the game - you'll get the pre-order bonus tomb The Tomb of the Lost Adventurer, plus a bunch of the game's multiplayer add-ons - eight DLC maps, six weapons, four characters.

A lot of other "goodies" included and amongst them are, six extra Lara outfits, digital copies of the Dark Horse comic Tomb Raider: The Beginning, Brady Games' art book Tomb Raider: The Art of Survival plus Zachary Levi's The Final Hours of Tomb Raider documentary series.

The Xbox One version includes Kinect voice controls for weapon modding and menus. What we know about the PS4 is that your controller will light up when using the torch.

It was originally rumoured and announced that Crystal Dynamics' Tomb Raider reboot was planned to be released in January on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. What was said about the "Definitive Edition" was though that the new version would get a graphics "retouch" to fit the new next-gen platforms and most importantly a tweaked version of Lara Croft's face. It's a reworked version of the previous model used for Lara Croft and suits the protagonist's current voice and mo-cap actress Camilla Luddington a bit more. The new edition will include the game's previously PC-only next-gen aspects for Lara Croft which was made possible through AMD's TressFX technology.

The game had been rumoured for quite a few time but was finally officially confirmed during the VGX Awards event. Sleeping dogs developer United Front Games was also revealed to have helped out with the new version's development.

Nothing more was revealed or announced though and we are still waiting to see if the game will have future DLCs and other new features along with it.
