Kanye West Rants About Grammy Nominations!
Narcissism never looked so Kanye.

On Tuesday, December 10th Kanye West finally made an official announcement to his thoughts on only being nominated for two awards in the 2014 Grammy Awards. With absolutely no surprise it was a quick vent during the middle of a performance that only Kanye can do. Just when we thought he couldn’t possibly find another thing to rant about onstage Kanye called out the Grammy’s shade toward Yeezus while wearing an all gold robed ensemble resembling the Pope:
"And Yeezus is the top one or two album on every single list, but only gets two nominations from the Grammys. What are they trying to say?”
The remark took place at the US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona during his stop on the Yeezus Tour, but I have a feeling it won’t be the last the world will be hearing on his lack of nominations. Knowing Kanye the next rant will be about how the Academy only gave him two nominations to make a statement about Kim Kardashian. Just wait, I’m calling the next move on the chessboard being about Kim.
Kanye may have a point on lack of nominations, however, given his track record and overall praise toward Yeezus. The artist has had a total of 53 Grammy nominations making him #5 on the list of all-time nominations and of those 21 were wins landing him at #6 for the all-time winner list. Yeezus also made many of music critic’s “Best Of 2013” list all around as well. So the proposed question is: should we take Kanye seriously this time? The jury is still out.
Yeezus is currently nominated for Best Rap Album and his song “New Slaves” is nominated for Best Rap Song. The 56th Annual Grammy Awards take place on January 26th in Los, Angeles, California. The show will broadcast on CBS at 8:00 p.m. EST.
