Spend Christmas With The Vampires At The Iron Garden
Santa don’t grab ya? Maybe one of these creatures of the night will.

Sick of the same old nog, egg or otherwise? Maybe a merry kringle is a little too bright and shiny under all that tinsel. Sugar plums a little too sweet for your teeth? The Iron Garden is throwing a party that can really sink its teeth into you.
After you tuck in the little elves, it’s time to party with the other otherkin. The Iron Garden is throwing a Yule Gathering on Friday evening, December 25th for their vampire, witch, therian, and assorted mystical family. QXT's Downstairs 248 Mulberry Street, Newark, N.J. $10 to get into the club, admission to the Iron Garden downstairs is free. It begins at 9 p.m. TruBlood will be available all night.
The evening will be hosted by Madame X, the owner, administrator, mentor and matriarch of the International Nightkind Coven House of the Dreaming along with Marshall: Lord Traveler of House Sabretooth MacPhee and Scribe Finna Beruthiel DeElf, who is a Ronin, or unaffiliated vampire. The Lector will be Herr Wulfsunus (Wolfgang), of House of the Dreaming and the Guardians will be Blueeyesoulfof Ra Horakhty (Alex), another Ronin
The Iron Garden’s Yule Ceremony will be officiated by Cenobite Cher A. Chirichello of New Jersey Pagans and the evening’s keynote speaker will be Trinity Cauldronborn of Trinity's Magick who will give a talk on "The Secrets of Aromatherapy."
Madame X is an author who has been published in various anthologies such as Vampires in Their Own Words. She is also an administrator for Domain of Terror and such Facebook groups as Dark Nations, School of Night, The Path of the Crone, and The Briar Patch. She leads rituals for private, open and staged ceremonies. The Madame has also appeared as a model in several international outlets.
The Merchants In the Krypt will include Palmistry, Tarot and Bones with Genoveva Rossi; Runes by Nykol; Spiders by The Golden Web; Skullboy; and candles, soaps and herbal goodness by Jacqueline Shibla of Trinity's Magickal Intentions.
There will also be a Naughty Kids Grab-Bag, but you have to bring a $20 naughty gift to participate.
Proceeds from a 50/50 raffle will go to save NJ Big Brown Bats through the beneficial kindness of the Iron Garden at njbatman.com.
The dress code is semi-formal, which means no blue jeans, white t-shirts, baseball caps or sneakers. They want creative looks like fetish, goth, punk, pinup, formal or, as the weather appears to be on the warm side, lingerie is encouraged. If you can’t dress to your vampire, witch, elf or wolf nature, you can come in all black or just wear holiday pajamas.
To get to QXTs from NYC you have to take path train to Newark Penn Station stop. At Newark Penn go to the bus lanes and walk to Raymond Boulevard to Mulberry then take a left onto Mulberry. It is a 13 minute walk. The bus only saves you a minute but a cab will only cost “like $5.”
